Lori Pietrafesa, LCSW

I have worked as a school social worker for almost 40 years, starting at the NYC Board of Education and spending the last 27 years at Manhasset Schools. Throughout my career, I have provided psychotherapy in private practice to children, adolescents, and adults. I have also served as a field instructor and faculty liaison for the Adelphi University School of Social Work.

In my clinical practice, I specialize in trauma as well as working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am trained in various modalities, including CBT and DBT, with a particular interest in mindfulness strategies. My passion is supporting new and aspiring social workers and mental health counselors..
