Do you offer medication management?

At this time we do not offer medication management, however we are happy to work with your medication provider or help you find one. 

Do you offer case management?

No, we provide a wide range of therapy but we do not offer case management. 

Do you provide emergency care?

We do not provide emergency care or crisis intervention. If this is an emergency, you are in an unsafe situation, or you or someone else is actively suicidal, please immediately call 911 or contact a crisis hotline such as

Do you accept clients who don’t live near your office in Port Washington?

Yes! We are able to see people virtually from anywhere in New York State

How do I get started with therapy?

It’s easy! You email us at clients@slp-ny.com or call us at 516-724-9569 and we will connect you with a therapist that is a great fit for your needs and you will schedule your first session.

How often should I attend therapy?
In most cases weekly therapy is the best frequency to start. Then, you and your therapist can decide together if you would benefit from more frequent or less frequent therapy.

 

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We accept a number of major insurances. If you don’t see your insurance on our list, give us a call or send an email. We may be in the process of taking it. We might also be able to work with you to make private pay more affordable and check to see if you have any out of network benefits. In-network appointments are based on the individual therapists available capacity, however, we will always try to match you with the best therapist available
